centering guides take empty cans and align them with the filling valve. The OEM parts are stainless steel, during production a centering guide came out of position and stopped the machine. From 1250 cans per minute to a complete stop, binding up the gearbox and snapping off framing and more. this damage costed $40,000+ and a weeks down time. After some researching copy rights, for legal and insurance purposes. I designed a centering guide profile with the precision to perfectly align the cans to each valve. This turns the centering guides into a fail safe, if this event was to ever happen again the centering guide will crush instead of lock up the machine. I had tested a few 3d printed parts to start and ran the application for a few weeks. after some positive feedback I had food grade hdpe parts cut with a CNC. 5 years later they are running perfectly on the filling machine.

Running of 1 latch with minimal positive air pressure had aloud bacteria to get into the cap elevator. we had to increase our CIP,s from every week to daily as we found a replacement latch, when my shift came back on I replicated the latch on fusion 360 and got a 3D printed part within a few hours and got us back to running a week cycle without bacterial growth.

tig welding angle iron and stainless sheets, adding casters and 3d printed parts holders for a stand that brought all parts together on 1 stand. increasing ease of cleaning and organizing

we had issues with constantly having to adjust sensor positions and re applying zipties to continue production so i created mounts that are permanent mounts and others that are adjustable mounts reducing maintenance calls for adjustments.

this conveyor had had a second shaft and sprockets that was daisy chained off this main shaft. the sprockets where the same size and constantly wearing bearings, sprockets, and cutting into the conveyor frame. I removed the daisy chain and deleted the portion of conveyor that was costing us heavily with parts and down time and put all sprockets on the main shaft. this project reduced parts needed ultimately reducing our downtime events

bent and fitted lines to water sample outlets with flashing cylinders and chemical lines to automatically adjust water chemistry. finished blowdown setup to lead into drain during boiler retrofitting

At GoGoSqueez we added 14 new lines recently and as they came in we got filling machines from a different company, these machines used different corner punches that constantly needed rebuilt. the corner punches on the older machines had far less maintenance interventions so I got with tech services and was allowed to build mounts that will retrofit the olderstyle corner punches on the new machines. not only did this reduce our down time dramatically but it also took up less footprint in our parts room.
